Need advice with a piercing decision.... (Relationship advice)

Boyfriend says he will not kiss me anymore if I get a tongue piercing. I understand it is his preference, but it is still my choice that he would need to respect, right? He absolutely refuse, and it would also stop intimacy...

I don't know what to do, it is my dream piercing. :/
