Our Room

This room is made of concrete and stone,
But this time, I hear the silence.
Nonstop music to drown out
The loudest room that never speaks.
I guess it was me, though,
Just looking for someone to blame.

Is it my fault?
Words I kept asking myself
For wanting more than walls and a bed.
Maybe my jokes made it seem like I'm uninterested,
But my imagination goes far beyond.

Your window stayed shut,
Yet keep peeking through mine, even though it was my request.
I've been telling myself
I made a mistake.
I want to throw stones at yours until it breaks,
Though I know it will never end well.

What life could have been if this continued.
No table, no chairs, nor any furniture.
I'm sorry for demanding and wanting more,
But time is gold, and life is treasure.
If we ever meet again,
I hope we both walk the same road.
