Other Believer's Controlling my Language after a Diagnosis
Hi pastors,
I just received a cancer diagnosis, and I am completely shocked. I am 39 years old, about to graduate with my Master's in a week. I finally found the thing God has made me for. I am naturally reaching out to all my prayer warriors, and I am shocked by them telling me not to "agree" with my diagnosis. "Don't say you have such and such." "Don't agree with the enemy's lies." Like, what? This is my reality. It is the truth of my reality. I am literally in shock right now, and my sweet brothers and sisters, while I know that they have the best for me, are controlling my language. It makes me pissed off and makes me feel dismissed. Like, this isn't the reality I am living in. I feel so sick to my stomach due to the overwhelming nature of my diagnosis, and now, I have to deal with my family in Christ, whom I love, saying this to me. I am not sure how to handle any of this. Help!
