To USCellular customers:

Hey guys. T-Mobile rep here. Please stop taking your anger out on store reps.
Just a friendly reminder that you being angry about the merger doesn’t mean you should take it out on the store reps. I have been screamed at, threatened, and verbally abused more in the last few weeks than I ever have in my 15 years of working in retail, and that’s really saying something.
Please remember, we had absolutely nothing to do with T-Mobile buying you out. Corporate made this decision, not the front-line workers. We are trying our best with what we have to help you, but too many people walk into the store seeing us as the bad guys who “stole you away” from your previous carrier. I promise you, we are just as overwhelmed by this transition as you are.
The reality is that the carrier was struggling. If T-Mobile didn’t acquire the network, Verizon or AT&T would have, and your rates likely would have increased even more. It was a matter of time.
So the next time you walk into T-Mobile to swap out your SIM or upgrade your phone, please drop the mentality of making the interaction as unpleasant as possible to punish us. Consider that these retail workers have already been screamed at all day about things they have no control over. You don’t have to be happy about the merger, but please just be civil. We are completely worn down.
