Am I wrong for wanting more child-free restaurants, flights, and cafes?
I went out for dinner after work the other day because I just wanted to eat in peace. 5 minutes in, there were kids running between the tables, screaming, climbing on chairs, and making a mess while the parents barely reacted. Everyone around just kept eating like this is something we’re all supposed to accept because “they’re just kids.”
I’m a child-free woman. I chose this life because I like my peace and quiet. I work hard for my money, and when I pay for a restaurant, a flight, a movie, or a hotel, why should my evening be ruined because someone else can’t keep their kid under control?
Families have plenty of places that are built around them. As someone who’s chosen not to have kids, I’d love to have a few places where I can enjoy the peace I’m paying for.
