21F, new to the gym and not sure if I should pay for personal training?

Ask Fitness India ❓

I’m a 21F and recently joined a gym. I don’t have any friends there, so I’m pretty much on my own. It’s only been a week, and one of the trainers has been helping me with my workouts, correcting my form, showing me how to use the machines, and even giving me diet tips. Honestly, he’s already kind of acting like a personal trainer.
He’s asked me a couple of times to sign up for PT. He keeps saying I’m a complete beginner, don’t know anything about the gym, and that taking a 3-month PT package would be better than just 1 month because it works out cheaper. The package is ₹18,000 for 12 sessions.
I asked another girl at the gym if she takes PT from him, and she said no. She told me that if the trainer is free, he’ll usually help people anyway, and I can always learn from ChatGPT or YouTube.
The problem is that I really am a complete beginner. I don’t know how to use most of the machines, my form isn’t good, and I’m scared of getting injured if I do exercises incorrectly.
I’ve also heard stories that some trainers become rude or stop helping once you decline personal training. I’m worried that might happen if I say no.
I’m really confused. What should I do?
