Cough After Tooth Extraction

Hi there,
My dog (9 year old shi tzu mix) had 16 teeth extracted yesterday. The vet said she may have a mild cough due to being intubated. Her surgery went on quite long due to the unexpected number of extractions needed.

This morning, I am finding the cough is somewhat worsening compared to what it was overnight. She is doing multiple dry hacking coughs every 20 minutes or so.

My question is, how long should I let this go on for before I call the vet? I fear the cough is just going to get worse as she irritates it more each time she coughs.

Medications: Metacam for pain
Other symptoms: Slightly quiet and depressed, swallowing and lip licking.
