Does barrel profile matter on an 11.5"?

Hey guys. I'm playing around with building either an AR pistol or just going all in and doing an SBR build now that we have a $0 tax stamp.

Anyway, I'm set on the 11.5" barrel and running with a can, a YHM Turbo T2.

Currently shooting a 16" barrel rifle, but with a pencil profile. It is so light! Even still, adding that can just makes it cumbersome enough due to weight and length that I want to do this shorter build.

The difference between Gov Profile and Pencil on a 16" is night and day to me. But how much does the profile make a difference on something as short as an 11.5"?

I only ask as I'm having a hard time finding any complete uppers or standalone barrels in anything but Gov Profile - anything pencil or lighter is either out of stock or over double the price...
