VERY low raw Papp-a and beta hCG levels. Any experiences?
Hi everyone,
I’m 30 years old and currently pregnant after IUI.
I just received the results from my first trimester blood test (taken at 9+1), and these were my values:
PAPP-A: 0.272 IU/L
hCG: 23.8 IU/L
I know that the nuchal translucency scan converts these values into MoM, and that the final risk assessment isn’t made until the blood test is combined with the ultrasound findings. Still, I’m finding it really hard not to worry about the raw numbers.
Has anyone here had similarly low PAPP-A and/or hCG values, but ended up with normal MoM values or a low-risk screening result? Or had a pregnancy that turned out completely normal despite low blood test values?
I’d really appreciate hearing both positive and less positive experiences. I’m not just looking for reassurance—I genuinely want a realistic picture.
Thank you
