Curious individual [blind/VI + interieur]

Hi everyone,

I have a very random question. Currently I am working on a project for my thesis that involves interieur for blind/VI people. I grew up with a grandfather who became blind in WW2 + my dad works at a guide dog school.

I was wondering how blind/VI people choose their interieur. Are there certain elements you are looking for in terms of heights/ contrast in colours/ sound etc. And are there stores you think offer good interieur products.
