What kind of jobs y'all be working to afford these rent prices?

I know there's been multiple posts from people complaining about the rent prices but it's insane how expensive so many of these apartments are. I've been looking around a bit more since my lease is expiring soon and it's insane how much money these places are asking for just for rent. Almost all of them are charging an arm and a leg for rent and then still have the balls to say that the tenant pays for all utilities. Heaven forbid you have a pet too. If you have a cat then that eliminates about 70% of all listings, I could only imagine how few options are available if you have a dog.

Thing is too is that I make okay-ish money. Not enough to buy a house but more than a regular retail employee if you get what i'm saying. Something needs to be done about these property prices. How the hell are people getting priced out of Erie?
