Advice for this credit card application

Hi guys, I’ve seen a couple of threads similar here so I’m seeing this is a common occurrence. I applied to the chase freedom flex as my first chase card with 5 years of credit history and 2 other different cards.
I received a letter finally saying it was denied due to them thinking my identity was being stolen. I then called and verified. They couldn’t send a text verification to me so I answered questions. Then, I had to show proof of stuff to verify, which I uploaded to the portal they sent out. Fast forward today, I called back as instructed and they finally say that I’ll be receiving a letter in the mail with my denial due to my identity still not being verified. The first letter was also a denial, and I saw someone else say they got the same exact letter after verifying like I did. I’d rather not wait another 7 days for the same exact letter. Is there any hope of salvaging this? Any advice for this situation? I’m not trying to cope with a rejected application but it just seems weird that it keeps being about my identity, I tried asking the agent if it was denied because it was denied or because they can’t verify me and it seems like she was going around the bush but talking about identity verification.
Also note I have decent stats, not a 100% obvious acceptance but: 740, 5 years history, 2 cards, 25k income all for only a freedom flex should have given me like a 80% chance
