The successful theatrical journey of Balan has officially come to an end, concluding its run with a worldwide gross collection of ₹35.37 crore. Despite being a content driven film, Balan managed to attract audiences across multiple regions and delivered a respectable performance at the box office, especially in its home market of Kerala.

The film emerged as a solid success in Kerala, where it collected an impressive ₹18.55 crore gross during its theatrical run. Strong word of mouth, positive audience response, and consistent occupancy helped the film enjoy a healthy run in the state. Kerala remained the biggest contributor to the film’s overall earnings, accounting for a major share of its domestic collections.

Outside Kerala, the movie also registered decent numbers in neighboring states. In Karnataka, Balan grossed ₹2.40 crore, reflecting a good response from Malayalam cinema lovers. Tamil Nadu contributed ₹1.02 crore, while the Telugu States added ₹25.80 lakh. The Rest of India contributed another ₹34.60 lakh, taking the film’s total domestic gross to ₹22.57 crore.

The film also performed well in the overseas. With a total overseas collection of ₹12.80 crore, Balan proved that it had a strong audience beyond India as well. Gulf countries and North America where Malayalam films enjoy a loyal fan base played a key role in boosting the film’s overseas earnings.

Combining both domestic and overseas collections, Balan wrapped up its theatrical run with a worldwide gross of ₹35.37 crore. This is a notable achievement for the film and highlights the growing global reach of Malayalam cinema. The overseas contribution was particularly impressive, making up over one-third of the film’s worldwide total.

The film’s success once again demonstrates that engaging storytelling and positive audience reception can help content-oriented films perform well at the box office without relying solely on massive commercial elements. Strong support from family audiences and positive recommendations helped the movie maintain steady collections over its theatrical run.
