I received the IMEI phone customs fee message thing, but it says I have 3 days to pay, is it true?

I've had the phone for more than a year, every once in a while I'd get the message that I have a month left to pay it but nothing ever happened. I got the same message but this time the deadline is 3 days. Are they actually still doing it? Or should I wait and see?
