Masters 😬😬
Hi! I was hoping to get your advice because I’m at a crossroads with my career.
I’m currently finishing my Bachelor of Psychological Science, and I have experience mentoring young people through youth programs. My long-term goal is to work with vulnerable young people, particularly in youth justice, mental health, or child protection,
I’m trying to decide whether my next step should be a Master of Social Work or to study criminology.
Given my background and career goals, which path would you recommend and why? Do you think social work would give me broader opportunities, even in youth justice, or is there an advantage to specialising in criminology first? I’d really appreciate your perspective.
Thank u so much any advice is greatly appreciated as I’m applying rn and feel like I’m in a pickle
