It had become impossible to ignore the way my sister watched me.

The lingering glances she thought slipped. The sharp flash of jealousy each time I brought someone home. The way she always seemed to hover close enough to observe and close enough to imagine whenever someone entered my life.

She peeked through half-closed doors when she thought no one would know. Pressed her ear to the wall just to catch the tone of my voice. Dressed in ways that “just happened” to demand my attention on the nights I was alone.

Trying everything to pull my gaze her way. And none of it ever worked.

Not because she wasn’t enough, but because, to me, she’d always been something simple. Familiar. Safe.

My sister.

A label she couldn’t scrub off.

So if she couldn’t compete with the revolving cast of women who drifted in and out of my bed… why not become the kind of woman I would never turn away?

She’d seen enough of my dates to know exactly what captivated me. The posture. The tone of voice. The look.

She knew what I liked when the doors were only mostly shut.
She knew the signals. The weaknesses.

She had studied me and them.

But how will I be fooled?

By a shapeshifting potion.

One sip, and she could become anyone for twenty-four hours.

An old fling.
The new girl everyone looked to.
A stranger at a bar.
Some Tinder slut.
That lonely wife down the street.
Even the teacher from class.

Endless forms.
Endless ways to win me.
Endless ways to fool me.

And I wouldn’t suspect a thing.

[M4F] I never knew my sister could shapeshift. But I had to find out eventually, right?
