Update Timeline?

So as Batch 7 preorders draw closer, Im wondering how often people from other batches got updates as they waited. Currently, main just says “getting ready to be able to ship”. Will it update with an estimated date to ship or stay locked at that until the day it finally ships? If it does update at all, there any updates inbetween those two?
