So yesterday I posted a picture of a dress and even people like the dress, the consensus was that it wasn't formal. Then I bought a dress, beautiful, but my sister convinced me to get black. One hour later I realized that one of the criticisms I received here earlier was that the color wasn't appropriate for a summer wedding, because it was too dark. So, I cancelled the purchase, and I bought a slate blue one, way simpler. My sister is disagreeing with me. I didn't mention before, but she's the mother of the groom. I saw her dress beforehand, and she had told me mine (brown) was fine, but I don't think she was paying attention. Now, the black one I had bought I found it too much, so I really felt that I wouldn't be comfortable in it. I woke up today with texts from her asking Chat GPT about dresses and colors. I continue her own chat and told it time, date, venue, and state (CA), which she hadn't done (and the answer was dark colors, I guess because it assumed it was in the evening). Chat GPT gave me a 9/10. I found a pair of shoes the same color, and I have jewelry with sapphires and diamonds to wear with it. I'm also want to add my age, so people take that in consideration: I'm 61.
It's a 4 PM wedding.
I'm posting both dresses. I'm up for anything. I would get the black one if you think so, but I guess in another color?
My sister told me to ask Reddit. Thank you!!
