Metering device failed - estimate for new unit advice

I have the central unit pictured here, installed in 2015. The metering device failed. My current HVAC company is recommending full replacement. They've recommended a Daikin DC4SE with a full purchase/installation estimate of ~$6000. Just replacing the metering device would be ~$4000. I can do 0% financing so it's a smaller immediate hit to me, but still wanted to see if this seemed like a reasonable price based on what I'd be getting and what it's replacing. Thank you!
