People of peoria who have long luscious tresses What do do yall do for your hair health?

I have lived in peoria for about three years now, our first place didn't have a water softener, my hair has been looking more chopped than ever from the heavy water. Our current place that we are renting has a water softener we have been here for two years but im having the same result so it must not be a strong one lol. For those who have found a good routine to combat the water here pls do share.
