Please bring back separate windows for profiles

💬 Discussion

I used to rely on having separate browser windows for each profile on my Mac. It made context switching simple: work in one window, personal browsing in another, with each profile clearly isolated.

After the recent change, profiles appear to be unified into a single window with sidebar-style switching, similar to Arc. I understand why some people may prefer that approach, but for my workflow it is a downgrade. It makes profiles feel less like independent spaces and more like tabs or modes inside one browser window.

Separate windows gave me better visual separation, easier multitasking, and less risk of mixing accounts, links, and sessions between profiles.

This is especially important when I’m sharing my work window during a meeting or presentation. With separate profile windows, I can safely share the work browser knowing that my personal browsing is in a completely different window. With the current unified-window design, it feels too easy to accidentally switch to my personal profile while sharing my screen.

Could you please consider restoring an option for independent windows per profile? Ideally, users could choose between the unified-window/sidebar experience and the previous separate-window behavior.
