Are nodes tweaked with less of them and longer respawn rates?

I just started Chromie 2 days ago. Coming from different servers I played on over the past few years, it feels like mining nodes have been tweaked here. I can't talk to the herbs, but with mining it seems some nodes are missing and respawn rates of the ones that do exist are longer to repop than what I've seen on other servers. I'm not whining or complaining, I'm just trying to see if my observation is correct about the spawn rates and amount of nodes. Also, I know others aren't farming the nodes I've been checking out because the routes I run are very short. I've even camped in a spot just to see how long it would take and nothing appeared for over 40 minutes.
