Does The definiton of bad people changes with time?

So, sometimes i read about some people and when i look them on the internet many times people say “oh he was a good (insert whatever) but he was a bad person because he was a (insert whatever)”

But many times they were just kinda normal to their time and only now they are considered a bad person

For exemple, many people like authors were racists, but they lived in a Time that being racist was normal/good

But nowadays its not, so now we see them as a bad person

For exemple, h.p lovecraft was very racist, and we can see that because in his books he made that clear. But he was born in 1890 and lived in the early 20 century.

So for the Time. That was very normal. So he wasn’t considered a bad person

But nowadays because of that. People say that he was a bad racist person

And many other people were also homophobic, xenophobic and etc and are considered bad, but they were normal in their time

So the définition of a bad person changes with time

So, from now to 2100 for exemple

Maybe in 100-200 years or Maybe less than that, we that think we are good people. May be considered a bad person in the future

So for exemple, you who are reading this, in 100 years you May be considered a bad person because you think or do some things that seem normal now, but won’t be accepted in the future
