What would happen if Subaru losses RTD?

Subaru is always fighting against the top 1% and even when he isn’t, he still dies repeatedly. Can Subaru even last more than 2 years without RTD? I know there’s an if route of him not dying once and living happily (Sloth Route) but that literally required him from being in a rural area outside all the chaotic mess the envy route is in.
