Teeth removal

New the sub, tissue went to my first orthodontist consultation. I have a tooth overlapping another tooth (on top of the other tooth) at the 11th position. Because it’s on Top they recommended that that tooth be removed before we start Invisalign. They also stated that I had some overcrowding in my lower teeth and recommended tooth 24 to be removed as well. They said that this would leave a little bit of a gap that would resolve overtime with the liners. They also advise that even if I used braces that the teeth still needed to be removed.
I said that in a prior consult with just a regular dentist, I was told that most likely braces could fix it and had not mentioned anything about tooth removal. They suggested that the tooth could be positioned into place. But that being said there’s not much room left if any in my opinion. The overlapping tooth does bother me so I think that’s OK to be removed. But overall, is this a good treatment plan?
Thanks.
Sorry for any grammar issues.
