Do you prefer to sort reddit by Best? Top? New? Why or why not?

Fuck it I'm curious. I almost always prefer sorting by New cus if I'm going to want to get in on a conversation, I want to get interaction. And the more views/comments/upvotes a post has, the less likely I feel I am to actually get any responses.
