What to do immediately after birth

I am planning on combination feeding via pumping and formula feeding. What did you do in the hospital? I am getting induced tomorrow so I do not have a colostrum stash and I am not sure that I really want to have baby on boob atm. Did you just formula feed until milk came in? Did it force you to miss out on the benefits of colostrum? Anyone have a similar concern or need guidance?
