Second Skin?

Hello!

I just got my first tattoo yesterday and my artist didnt give me much info for aftercare. Just the first 24 hours.

She wrapped me in Saran wrap and sent me away and told me to get second skin and put it on an hour and a half to two hours after the tattoo, in which I did, with the NexCare Tegaderm but it sloughed off after a few hours with it on and I replaced it with ElastoPlast Second Skin which started to puff up and kind of scared me so I removed it and just slapped more NexCare on. I didn't have quite enough to cover a couple little pieces of the tattoo but then She then said tomorrow (today) after I wake up to remove the second skin as the ink and plasma is pooling and to replace the second skin and leave it for 3-5 days.

I woke up this morning, went and bought some more to slap on it but im lowkey already at my wits end. I dont want to not wear it and have a fucked tattoo but at the same time It keeps falling off.

I tried ElastoPlast Second Skin, which as I said, made it all puff up, as well as NexCare Tegaderm which seems to fall off or unstick after a few hours.

I also dont know if i should lightly wash it with some soap or not as when people use second skin they say to just put it on and leave it on but that has not been successful for me.

Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. The tattoo is on my upper forearm right beneath the elbow bend if that helps any.
