Big Spider Inside my PS3…what do I do?
Hey soooooo there’s a big ol’ spider in my PS3. I saw it crawl through the vents in the back, and I could see it in there with my flashlight. I tried to spray it with compressed air to get it out, but that only made it retreat further and now I can’t see it. I’ve had this PS3 for at least 15 years now, and I’ve never taken it apart. It still works great (aside from some new issues connecting to the internet…but one problem at a time lol). So I’m scared of messing something up if I take it apart to look for the spider. Looking at guides of how to take apart a PS3 and clean it, it looks very daunting.
So I’m wondering if I should risk taking it apart or not. If I do, I may as well clean it while I’m at it, which I’d love tips for. But if I don’t take it apart, would it be a problem to power it on while the spider is in there? If the spider dies in there, would the heat from the console melt its body into the console’s innards? Sorry if that sounds weird, I just don’t really know if that’s something that could happen and/or would be problematic.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
