This year is kicking my ass
I don't even know where to start, so I'm just going to dump it all here. It started with work. I asked for a raise, something I felt was way overdue after not having a raise in over 2 years now, and got back some crap non-answer about "revisiting it later." Every time I bring it up since, it just gets pushed further out. So I started looking for new jobs, and there's basically nothing around me that pays what I'm already making, even with the years I've put in. So I'm stuck.
Then my dog passed away. He was 11, I had him for 10 years and it was sudden, cancer. I wasn't ready for that at all.
Right after, I had to sink money into my car. Tires, rotors, brakes, oil change, belts, spark plugs and wires, basically everything at once. It ate through most of what I had saved. Two weeks after I finally got all that done, someone shot through a gap in traffic and smashed into my driver's side. Car's totaled. Not my fault, but that doesn't matter now. No car, and no savings left to fix it or do a down payment on a new car.
Now I'm relying on other people for rides or borrowing their cars just to get around, and it's starting to make me feel like a burden every single time I have to ask. I know people don't mind helping, but I hate it and it always limits my options of what I can do making me feel trapped.
I don't really have a point to this post. I just needed to put it somewhere outside my own head. If you read the whole thing thanks for listening/reading
