Best resort that doesn’t push timeshare schemes?

Need resort recommendations

I was planning to take my family of four to Xcaret for a week. Flexible on time, in the beginning or mid-January, but now that I'm reading into this more, I'm really annoyed and don't want to give in to the system where I go to a resort and they spend all their time trying to push me into timeshare schemes. Seems to be a problem with Xcaret.

We went to Grand Sunset Princess in Mexico a couple of years ago, and it was like around every corner they were trying to sell us on timeshare presentations. It got to a point where I just didn't enjoy the vacation, and I don't want to deal with that.

I am really disappointed because I was looking forward to Xcaret. I like the look of the resort, and now I kind of had my hopes up about doing the different parks and so forth. I just know myself, and I'm gonna get worked up in the timeshare salesmen and their sleaziness. I don't want it to ruin my trip, so I'm just trying to avoid that whole thing.

The question is, what resort would you recommend that doesn't push this kind of sleazy sales on their customers that are already there? Are there any left? Ideally, I'm looking for something that is family-friendly, decent food, safe, but I would like something, if possible, with some more activities: water slides, wave pools, what have you, for my kids to enjoy. Flexible on Destinations. Budget around 10k Canadian, I was willing to pay a bit more for xcaret, I think that was around 12.

Thanks
