Has anyone accidentally linked Steam to the wrong BHVR account before?

I'm looking for someone who has actually experienced something similar.

Here's my situation:

• In 2022, my old Epic Games Dead by Daylight account received a cheating ban.
• Since 2023, I've been playing normally on my Microsoft/Xbox account with no issues.
• Earlier this year, I accidentally linked my Steam account to the wrong Behaviour account (the one that was connected to the banned Epic account).
• I realized the mistake almost immediately, unlinked my Steam account, and later Behaviour Support completely removed the Steam connection from that Behaviour account.
• I never pressed the Sync / Enable Cross-Progression button.
• My Steam account has never been banned and is still fine.

Now I want to link my Steam account to my correct Behaviour account (the one connected to my Microsoft account), but I'm worried because of that old accidental link.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did you later link your Steam account to the correct BHVR account without any issues?
