Lord Vaeros is a [dragonborn ](https://www.reddit.com/r/Dragondom/comments/1uvhe5o/species_profile_dragonborn/)knight who is the first son of the Vermilion dynasty, a prominent high-ranking Dragonborn noble family in Ostberg. As a dragonborn knight, he possesses an estate and helps to administer draconic rule by collecting taxes while enforcing law and order in the realm. While he served under the reign of Botegard, the prior ruler of Ostberg, since the accession of [Prince Lothar](https://www.reddit.com/r/Dragondom/comments/1s3hk75/prince_lothar_dragon_lord_and_ruler_of_ostberg/) to the throne, Vaeros is no more loyal to the young prince than he was to Botegard, pledging fealty and serving his majesty with esteem.

Lord Vaeros has the typical imposing and powerful physique of a mature adult dragonborn of 46 years old, standing at 8 feet and 2 inches tall. While he has a stoic and fierce personality, he adheres to codes of honor and chivalry, being a knight, making him also well-mannered and respectful. As second-in-line to his father to head the Vermilion Dynasty, he has four heirs with his dragonborn boundmate (wife) who will follow the same path as their father. Currently, Vaeros is wearing his regular aristocratic garb, although he also also wears knight-armor suited for a dragonborn.
