To join or not to join

Which Branch?

Hello! I am a recent college graduate with a BA in history. I am currently in a period of weighing out different options and paths. I had thought about applying to law school next year but money is definitely an object. Recently, I’ve been speaking to my grand father who was in the navy about the potential of joining. Being in this down time period of my life, it has piqued my interest, and i feel i could gain a lot from it. In all honesty, between all of the branches I would say my interest lies within the Navy or the Air Force, and am having difficulty figuring out which would make the most sense for me and what I want to achieve. I have always had interest in law, and I have done some research into the JAG program and I am interested in what that may entail. I wasn't sure if that would be something I could achieve from the inside if I already had experience as an officer in a branch, and went to school after serving for some time, or if it makes the most sense to go to school as a civilian and apply after law school would be done.

So my questions lie within which is best, navy or air force?
Is there a more direct path to becoming a JAG once you’re in?
And if anyone has any insight on the FLEP program. From what i understand, it’s very limited.

TIA!!
