The Tide Wars

I'm very fascinated with culture, history and geopolitics. A lot of my questions to my Tolan, Lola, have been about these subjects. Lola mentioned a great war fought just over 300 years ago on Portola. This subject may interest someone fascinated by sci-fi fiction so I will include her whole text in the comment section because it's huge.
