Accenture Skill Interview (Application Support Engineer - Java EE) as a Fresher with No Java Background. Need Advice!
Hi everyone,
I recently cleared the Accenture assessment and got shortlisted for the Skill Interview for the Application Support Engineer (Java Enterprise Edition) role.
The problem is, I'm a fresher and my background is mainly in Python and Machine Learning. I have no prior experience with Java, Spring Boot, or Java EE, so I'm a bit nervous about the interview.
I wanted to ask:
- What kind of technical questions are usually asked in this skill interview?
- How deep do they go into Java EE if the role is for freshers (0–2 years)?
- What topics should I prioritize if I have limited time to prepare?
- Do they ask coding questions, or is it mostly conceptual and resume-based?
- If they ask me to submit my resume before the interview, should I:
- use my current ML/Python resume, or
- create a Java-focused resume even though I don't have Java projects?
Any advice, interview experiences, or preparation tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
