just noticed magia record is on netflix

i first found madoka magica in 2016 or so and watched the original series, and then in 2022 i re-watched it along with all of the movies, and heard tell of magia record but decided not to track it down because madoka magica is my favorite piece of media of all time and i didn’t want to dislike magia record and have my perception of the whole series warped

well, yesterday i saw it on netflix and i finished the first series as of today, and while i don’t like it as much as the og (hard to top for me tbf), i’m definitely into it and glad i decided to watch it

very nervous about the direction the plot is going in considering the cliffhanger at the end of season 1, and still a little confused on one specific plot point that i feel like just got glossed over in terms of explanation, but it’s nice to feel like a kid watching madoka magica again when adult life is stressing me out
