Cant see start menu when booting up game? Lone Echo II

Hello, I decided to replay lone echo 2 and after redownloading and launching the game, after the setting configuration screen, the start screen does not appear. I can move my controllers around and hover over where the buttons should be and I can hear them and click on them, but they make an error sound and nothing happens. I tried both through steam vr with revive and through the meta horizon link app and both have the same issue. Any help?
