40M - ATX - Looking to Build Quality Friendships

We’ve always heard that it’s difficult building meaningful friendships beyond college or that first workplace and I’m feeling it. It’s been 15 years since I built my last meaningful friendship. I’ve been here in Austin for 8 years and have struggled to make friendships that aren’t surficial or transactional. I’m ready to change that.

Here’s what I like:
- Wrenching on cars. I’m casually looking for a project.
- Motorsport: Formula 1, Indy, Le Mans
- Weight training just like all the other 40 something dads. Could use some pointers on building up my shoulders
- Dad Jokes 😀
- Home improvement/reno work.

I’m looking for friends that are local and +/- 10 years. Bonus points if you remember the sounds of a dial up modem and have given some serious thought into getting a landline.
