Tips for shiny hunting?

Doing my first Pokemon Sword shiny hunts for two different pokemon! I know about the murking 500 pokemon for a boost, and having a ditto/pokemon from a copy from a different country. I am still working up to the 500 marker for the pokemon I'm looking for out in the wild, but I have no foreign ditto :')

Are there any other ways to boost shiny odds?
