What is better that Qwen3.6 for local coding grunt work?

I have a 5090 locally and I've been using Claude as a researcher/designer/director delivering instructions to Qwen3.6 running locally to carry out coding tasks and running experiments locally. My work is math intensive.

This setup works well for me.

Any suggestion on what might be better than Qwen3.6-27B?
