Snezhnaya region skip question

I read from the web event that everyone can skip to snezhnaya during the event. There's just one thing I worry about, will I miss out a lot of the story or get heavily spoiled since I just finished the mondstadt archon quest and haven't set foot to liyue yet. It's really tempting to do the event because there'll be a lot of primogem rewards (from what I understand of the event)
