Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy
So, I’ve been doing relatively “okay” lately (baseline symptoms are at about a 3-4 on a scale of 10) which has been okay enough to drive? Go to work, and get things done lately… BUT my neuro had called in VRT so I thought …why not give it a try…. Well… wish I could go back in time and NOT give it a try. Today has been one of my hardest days in a while. Increased dizziness, tired/burning eyes, extreme fatigue, fullness in my right ear, and even a weird thumping in my right ear today that I had never experienced (lasted about 5 seconds). The PT said “to get better you have to get dizzy.” I guess I “get” the whole “recalibration” idea but I also don’t have time to be bedridden right now and I’m honestly feeling kind of salty about how much worse I feel today when I was managing somewhat okay recently.
Anyone else have this happen with VRT? Did you end up stopping or did you continue?
I just wanna liiiiiivvvve 😩 (I know we can all empathize about how much VM greatly affects quality of life.
I have an audiologist appointment next week and then see the ENT right after that and from there they order me a VNG test. I’m wondering if I should hold off on the exercises the PT gave me until after I see the ENT. These next 2 weeks are crazy with back to school and so many things… I can’t become bedridden right now 😔 thoughts?
