Can someone with no HVAC experience apply for GCA Trades Academy in Guam?

Hi everyone, I’m a 22 year old Female (Chamorro) from Guam and currently working as a Sales Associate at a furniture store. My current job has nothing to do with HVAC or construction — I mainly help customers and handle sales.

I’ve been thinking about changing career paths because I’d like to learn a hands-on skill and build a better future for myself. I became interested in HVAC and came across GCA Trades Academy, but I’m not sure how the process works.
Since I don’t currently work for an HVAC company, don’t have any HVAC experience, and don’t have an employer recommendation, would I still be able to apply or enroll?

Has anyone in Guam gone through GCA Trades Academy or started HVAC from a completely different job background?

Whether I need an employer/sponsor first

What I should expect as a beginner entering the trade
