Nursing pillow?

Hello I have a 15 week old and I think I stopped using the breastfeeding pillow when he was 10 weeks old should I be using it longer?

I’ve struggled with breastfeeding and I feel like the pillow didn’t help. He would sink in it and I hated getting it wrapped around me.
Now I just cross one leg over the other and have him sort of sit up and feed?
Is this wrong?
I also felt like I had to learn how to do without a pillow in public so I sort of arranged this sooner than I think I should’ve …
I think I chose an alternative because he was tongue tied and lip tied he had a very sharp pinch when he latched and now I just squeeze my whole boob and put in his mouth.

He’s caused blisters and it still hurts.
I also do side lying feeding at nights.
