Is every industry having a bad time with jobs?

No day goes by without reading posts about I got layed off, I can't find a job, I applied to 100 plus jobs etc.

I see IT the most.

I never seen a doctor or a nurse ever complain, but they don't get paid a livable wage, and they say there's a shortage in that profession.
