How to study for gp

JC1 here. Recently, I got back my wa2 and i did pretty badly (D). This was pretty expected since I have been averaging c to e for all my timed practices for both compre and essay.

For those seniors who got A for alvl/promos without having a strong foundation in English, how did yall do it? My english is pretty weak to begin with (I got a B3 for olvls) but i really need to get a A in alvl cos the uni course I want is pretty competitive..

So far, my plan is to study about 2hrs a week where I will:

-read model essays to try and improve my language

-create an example bank

-read the st primers

But I'm not too sure which model essays to read, like do I focus on those qith really fanciful language or strong content and evaluation. Also how do you find examples for essay? Do I just doomscroll on cna? I tried that once but I feel like half of the articles are rlly random and unapplication for gp essays. Also for my example bank, should I try using them to write content paragraphs for potential essay questions and try to evaluate or just state the example and give details? Lastly, I heard that it's better to focus and study on a few topics like education or sci and tech rather than studying everything? Which topics should I focus on (like they will cfm cfm come out for alvl one)? cos I heard that there are big topics (arts, sci and tech) and small topics (gender, politics..?). For the seniors out there, which topic did you focus on?
