Guidance on projectors etc

I recently purchased a Garmin R10 which is fantastic for my needs. I am looking to set up a simple simulator in my garage likely using my iphone or ipad if I can find one. I purchased the Gosports Range Cage with sim screen based off several suggestions from others but I am struggling with a projector that doesnt cost me a fortune as im not fully committed to this until I play through the winter on a basic setup. I am making a stance mat platform with hitting strip etc. I cant find something that makes sense for me because of how awkward that 88wide by 80 high screen is. I can mount a projector about 6-7 feet from the screen. Should I just bail on some of this? Any suggestions would be great.
