Someone please help me understand Sigrid

More specifically, Sigrid's entrance to the beach resort: how the heck was she able to surf through the water on footwear? Did she have a surfboard she was standing on to make maneuvers easier with her spear? Or did she try to run on the water as a bit of a boost before swinging her spear to begin skiing through the water like how humans would with their surfboard first.
