I [26F] gave my FWB [21M] chlamydia.

We’ve been seeing each other for over a year. It wasn’t until six months ago that we made it very clear to not sleep with other people. I slowed down on my dating so I can focus on myself and be a better person for our sexual relationship. I ended up meeting this guy who was a friend of the family and we started dating but nothing was sexual. I wanted to tell him that we should stop as I was now getting more serious with this new guy but I admit I was selfish.

We started hooking up. Probably only two times and both with protection. Then one night he came over and I made him dinner. We, or at least me, got very drunk and I disregarded using protection completely in the middle of it. Weeks later I’m having symptoms and I tested positive for chlamydia. Worst thing is, I called it off with that guy because I found out he was still seeing his BM and now I’m left with an infection at the end of it all.

When I called it off, I proceeded to sleep with my FWB, didn’t think I could get anything from one encounter (I know how ignorant!) but I told him my results and he completely cut me from his life. I know I deeply hurt him and I ruined everything we’ve built over the years which was a friendship that meant so much to us both. I just want to know how to get him back? He says he forgives me but he follows it with harsh words and name calling. I just want my friend back!
